Is it legal to produce screen-printed renderings of copyrighted photographs?
Filed Under Other - Visual Arts | Leave a Comment
I’m screen printing tshirts and have taken color photos from the internet, removed their backgrounds, removed the color, and made them into silhouette-style images. Is this legal or does this break copyright rules? I intend on selling the shirts, and the images only look about 20% like the original photographs.

What is a good objective to get a legal secretary or legal assistant job?
Filed Under Law & Legal | 2 Comments
I need to get a job in the legal field, but I do not have any experience other than my current customer service/clerical/admin full time work. I’ve been having a hard time deciding if I should say something simple like, ” Seeking a legal secretary position for a progressive organization” or ” Responsible position in the legal industry involving multiple detail oriented responsibilities”.

What legal procedures/regulations are there associated with offering an escrow service?
Filed Under Other - Business & Finance | 1 Comment
I am looking to set up a secure website offering people with Technical Specialities (e.g. Networking, Programming, Website design etc.) to search jobs placed by those in need of the work being done.
The website will ideally have an optional escrow service which will allow the Techie to complete the work whilst knowing they will get paid (if it meets correct standards) and they buyer can place funds into an account knowing that if the work is not satisfactory there is no bill to pay.
I was just wandering what kind of legal requirements, regulations and procedures there were associated with this type of service…
Any help or advice would be brilliant…
Thanks!
Im in the UK by the way….i’m guessing the laws are different depending on the country you trade/live in.

What legal and ethical responsibilities does a firm have to its employees when it decides to cease operations?
Filed Under Law & Ethics | 2 Comments
Due to the increasingly high cost of doing business I have decided to close down. I was just wondering what exactly are the legal and ethical responsibilities that I have to my employees who have been with me for at least 5 years. Experience-based answers (from employees who have been laid off and employers who had to lay off workers) are more than welcomed.
